I plan to do a lot more this year as I'm really enjoying it. With a focus (no pun intended) on the photography aspects of things. Here's my first proper gig photo blog of 2026!

I’m so glad I went down early. This was mega fun 🙌💜 class to see some Airline guitars in action too 😍
This was so much fun, I always loved Think Tank for gigs, my last show here was in 2019 for Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes. Before I took a big break. Feels like I'm starting again, full reboot and relearning music photography.
I got to experiment a bit more than normal, as there are no three-song restrictions or magazine editors to report to when you're shooting for fun! I took full advantage of that and went for some creative stuff, I'd never have dreamed of back in the day.
It boggles my mind how much cameras have improved in low-light conditions since I did my first gigs way back in the late 00's! I had my Fuji XT5 and my Ricoh GRiiix along with me. Super impressed with the GR. The header image is from the GR, though the pose really makes the shot special. I'm actually really impressed with both of these cameras. It's a dark venue and the only misfires I had were my own mistakes. Some of those 'mistakes' are my favourite photos so hey ho!
The band had so much charisma and stage presence, I was in my element trying to capture a bit of that magic. I think i did so?!
