About me
I'm a full-time photographer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. I spend a lot of my spare time travelling around Northern England and Scotland (particularly Glasgow and Leeds) with my camera and drone.
I am Newcastle-born and bred. I have a silly beard, I'm a bit of a geek! I'm obsessed with candid photography, unposed, unstaged, real moments. Favourite photographers are Chris Harrison (Newcastle), Don McCullin, Steve Gullick and Anton Corbijn.
I started my photography journey way back in the late 2000s when I got a little Canon A650 PowerShot for a backpacking trip. Little did I know how it'd change my life, and I became utterly addicted to photography. By 2012, I'd become fascinated with combining photography with my other obsession, music. Which led to my stint as a music photographer from 2012 to 2019, where I accumulated over 100,000 photos and some terrible tinnitus 🤣 Covering gigs from tiny pubs, to arenas, festivals and everything inbetween.
I went full-time with my photography business in 2019, and it's been a wild ride ever since. In 2025, I made my first baby steps back into a photopit, and it was an exhilarating experience.
I am fully addicted to Fujifilm for those unbeatable colours and retro-tone. I find modern photography a bit too clean and lacking that gritty edge. Fuji helps me achieve that 🙌
I'm much more interested in the behind-the-scenes work these days. If you have an event in Newcastle or nearby, please get in touch. I'd love to hangout and document the show!
